On this page you will find contests and projects for Angel Sanctuary fans, organised by us. Come here from time to time to be aware of new events and/or for voting when necessary. One thing you will need for participating is to be motivated!

As our contests were linked to a popular series of the 2000', they had success amongst the French fanbase which was very active during the manga French releases. Nowadays, in 2017... I'm not sure that these activities are still possible regarding Angel Sanctuary, a manga forum or any other online space gathering artist-lectors together would help continuing such hobby.

Subject: imagine your favourite A+S character at the Carnival of Venice.

Dates: April 1st, 2004 (deadline) - May 20, 2004 (end of voting).

Participants: 11.

Prize: special award for first 3, displayed 1 month on Angel Sword.

Results: 148 votes. Winners - 1st: Enigmatic Menolly with Kurai - 2nd ex aequo: Florimel with Alexiel & Chivind with Kurai.

Contest number 1

Subject: draw your favourite A†S character in Christmas outfit.

Dates: February 1st, 2003 (deadline) - March 11, 2003 (end of voting).

Participants: 9.

Prize: special award for first 3, displayed 1 month on Angel Sword.

Results: 69 votes. Winners - 1st: Chivind with Alexiel - 2nd: Sei with Alexiel - 3rd: Mukitenshi with Astaroth (Leguman: my drawing served as an example and votes for it don't count).

Project - 22 major arcanas of the tarot

As the title says, this is not a contest but a "community creation". This project was launched in 2005 and required the contribution of several/many persons.

Goal: we propose to create a divinatory tarot with Angel Sanctuary characters, as for instance the one from X by Clamp. As there are 22 major arcanas, we will need 22 original drawings.

Participants: the project requires the participation of ideally 22 persons who would draw 1 card each. But in fact, the same person can make 2 or 3 cards, and two fans can make two versions for the same card, no big deal here.

Conditions: there must be one A+S character per card, except for a couple of cards. All the cards must be in colour. The mean of colouring doesn't matter (pencils, painting, computer coloring...). Some cards require a background, some other don't, see description below.

Process: interested people can suggest and then vote for characters which would be the best match for each card. [Closed] Then anyone interested can propose to drawn some cards, we will write down their participation on this page.

Time: there is no time limit. Once each participant knows what to make, they can take their time so that their card looks really good. ^^

Technical details: the size of your drawing must be a multiple of 6 cm (width) x 11 cm (high), for instance 710 x 1300 px (16 x 29,7 cm). Regarding the frame, we will add about 1 cm on each side of the drawing and 2 cm above and below, this way we obtain the most standard dimensions of a tarot card. When you will send your drawing, please send in large size, .jpg of high quality, at least 150 or 300 ppi for printing, so that we could optimize and homogenize every cards, and then you could print them all at home! We will add the frame ourselves to be sure every card have the same size and look.

Step 2: please indicate your choice of card, maximum 3, by email (step still open in 2017!)

Each volunteer tell his 3 choices in order of preference. We will update the page regularly with the name of the newer participants. We ask 3 choices to improve the chances of having every cards picked up, but it's not mandatory to draw all the 3 choices.

You can draw a card even if it was already chosen or drawn by someone else (there would be too many frustration out there otherwise, some cards are very popular haha!). However, note that a few cards still don't have a drawer! We need volounteers!

You can change your choices at any time, you can also start drawing before telling us your choices.

Once your drawing is coloured and finished, send it to us in high resolution (710 x 1300 pixels or multiple, proportion of 6/11), the goal is to be able to print it at the size of a regular tarot deck (6 x 11 cm).

Once we received your card, we show it here as it would appear on the final tarot card. Later on we will provide a printable version of the cards (300 ppi). This is not a contest, there is no selection, every cards appear here for the pleasure of discovering them and the creativity of their author. ^_^
